Audrey Girouard
Audrey Girouard is a Canadian computer scientist. She researches human–computer interaction. Girouard is an associate professor at Carleton University and the Director and Principal Investigator of the Collaborative Learning of Usability Experiences (CLUE) program. She is the first female faculty member at Carleton School of Information Technology. Education Girouard received her undergraduate degree in Software Engineering from the École Polytechnique de Montréal. She received her Masters and PhD in Computer Science from Tufts University in Massachusetts. Human–computer interaction (HCI) is research in the design and the use of computer technology, which focuses on the interfaces between people (users) and computers. HCI researchers observe the ways humans interact with computers and design technologies that allow humans to interact with computers in novel ways. A device that allows interaction between human being and a computer is known as a "Human-computer Interface (HCI)". As a field of research, human–computer interaction is situated at the intersection of computer science, behavioral sciences, design, media studies, and several other fields of study. Carleton University
Carleton University is an English-language public research university in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1942 as Carleton College, the institution originally operated as a private, non-denominational evening college to serve returning World War II veterans.
