Aubert Vanderlinden
Aubert Vanderlinden is an international award winning ballet dancer and choreographer, he was born in 1985, in Uccle, Belgium. After starting ballet with Piotr Nardelli in Brussels, Aubert Vanderlinden continued his classes at the Paris Opera Ballet school and later on, joined the prestigious ballet company in 2003. During the season 2004-2005, we could particularly appreciate his talent in the creation of Suzanne Linke ''ich bin...''. With the Paris Opera Ballet, he performed ballets by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, William Forsythe (dancer), William Forsythe, Patrice Bart, Rudolf Noureev and so on. In 2006, Aubert makes his "debut" as a choreographer at the Bastille opera with a piece entitled "In Memoriam". The ''San Francisco Chronicle'' is a newspaper serving primarily the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California. Helgi Tómasson (dancer)
Helgi Tomasson (born October 8, 1942) is an Icelandic artistic director and principal choreographer for San Francisco Ballet, and a former professional ballet dancer. Since assuming leadership of San Francisco Ballet, he has helped transform the company from a respected regional troupe to one of the world's great classical ballet companies. He is originally from Iceland. Early life Tomasson was born in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland to Tómas Bergur Snorrason and Dagmar Helgadóttir. He began his ballet training in Reykjavik with a local teacher and went on to join the National Theatre’s affiliated school, which at the time was led by Erik and Lisa Bidsted. Antony Tudor
Antony Tudor (born William Cook; 4 April 1908 – 19 April 1987) was an English ballet choreographer, teacher and dancer. He founded the London Ballet, and later the Philadelphia Ballet Guild in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S., in the mid-1950s. Early life and education Tudor was born William Cook in East London, and grew up in the Finsbury area. He discovered dance accidentally. Tudor's first exposure to professional ballet was in his late teens when he first saw Sergei Diaghilev's Ballet Russes. Val Caniparoli is an American ballet dancer and international choreographer. His work includes more than 100 productions for ballet, opera, and theater for over 50 companies, and his career as a choreographer progressed globally even as he continued his professional dance career with the San Francisco Ballet. James Kudelka
James Kudelka, OC (born September 10, 1955 at Newmarket, Ontario), is a Canadian choreographer, dancer, and director. He was the artistic director of the National Ballet of Canada from 1996 to 2005, now serving as the National Ballet's artist in residence. Biography Kudelka began choreographing while a student at the National Ballet School. He gained critical attention for dramatic ballets such as ''A Party'' (1976) and ''Washington Square'' (1979). Les Grand Ballet Canadiens Frustrated by what he saw as a lack of creative commitment at the National Ballet, Kudelka joined Les Grands Ballet Canadiens in 1981 where he was a principal dancer.
