Atzeneta Unió Esportiva is a Spanish football team based in Atzeneta d'Albaida, in the autonomous Valencian Community. Founded in 1975, it competes in , holding home matches at '' Campo de Futbol Municipal El Regit'', with a seating capacity of 1,500. History Founded in 1975, Atzeneta only played regional football until 2018, when it achieved promotion to Tercera División. The club reached the sixth position in their first campaign, and later appointed former international footballer David Albelda as their coach. Under Albelda, the club reached their first-ever promotion to Segunda División B on 26 July 2020, after beating CD Alcoyano in the play-offs. 2020–21 Segunda División B
The 2020–21 Segunda División B season was the 44th since its establishment and the last as the third tier. A total of 102 teams participated, and were distributed in three groups of 20 teams each and two groups of 21, with eight subgroups of ten teams each and two with eleven teams each. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the expansion of the league to what were initially five groups of 20 teams each for the 2020–21 season due to promotion from the Tercera División groups in the curtailed past season being applied. The season began on 18 October, following approval by each of Spain's autonomous regions' health departments. For next season the Segunda División B was demoted to the fourth level and dropped the B in its name in favour of the federation's Spanish initials RFEF on the creation of a new, two-group, 40-team third division called Primera División RFEF. The 2023–24 Tercera Federación season is the third for Tercera Federación, the national fifth level in the Spanish football league system. It consists of 18 groups with 18 teams each.
