Atna, Norway
Atna is a village in Stor-Elvdal Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located in the Østerdalen valley between Koppang and Alvdal at the confluence of the rivers Atna and Glomma.The Rørosbanen railway will stop at Atna Station by request (but not regularly). The Rondane mountains, Gudbrandsdal valley, and Ringebu are nearby. An airstrip is a few minutes away from the brewery. Although regular, commercial flights are unlikely, the gravel strip is well maintained by skillful, voluntary villagers. It has seen an increasing amount of private traffic by culturally interested pilots. They seize the opportunity to refuel from the local pump and shop at the Coop. The local Glopheim Kafe is the only cafe in the country protected by the Directorate for Cultural Heritage. It is fully licensed and virtually unchanged since the early 1950s. Atneosen Church
Atneosen Church ( no, Atneosen kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Stor-Elvdal Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the village of Atna. It is the church for the Atneosen parish which is part of the Sør-Østerdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Hamar. The white, wooden church was built in a rectangular design in 1882 using plans drawn up by the architect Henrik Nissen. The church seats about 100 people. History Around 1880, a local man named Haagen N. Atneosen donated some land for an annex chapel to be built. He also financed the construction of the building in exchange for the municipality taking over the ownership and maintenance of the building after its completion. Norwegian National Road 3 ( no, Riksvei 3, Rv3) is a Norwegian national road that is the main route through the Østerdalen district in Eastern Norway. It has been dubbed which means 'the green shortcut' by the old Hedmark County Municipality. The route runs south from European Route E6 at Ulsberg in the municipality of Rennebu in Trøndelag county, via Tynset and Elverum, to Stange in Innlandet county, where it rejoins European Route E6. National Road 3 is the route most used for transport between Oslo and Trondheim, carrying approximately 90% of heavy traffic and most of the passenger car traffic between the two cities.
