The Atlético Bahía Club de Fútbol was a football team that played in the Liga Premier de México, Liga Premier – Serie A de México, Serie A, the club had its ground in San José del Valle, Bahía de Banderas#Municipality, Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit, Mexico. History On June 10, 2019 it was announced the reactivation of ''Deportivo Tepic J.A.P.'' a Liga Premier franchise that was put on hiatus at the end of 2017–18 season due to financial problems. The franchise was reactivated with a new name: Atlético Bahía and its new place is San José del Valle, Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit, México. Before, the team franchise were renamed and replaced on three times: Atlético Veracruz, Cuervos de Ensenada and Coras de Nayarit F.C., Deportivo Tepic J.A.P. The Liga Premier is the third tier of Association football, football in Mexico within the Mexican football league system that governs Serie A de México, Serie A and Serie B de México, Serie B leagues/group competitions. The Serie A has 33 teams (1 Liga MX Reserve Team, 3 Liga de Expansión MX Reserve Teams and 29 Serie A Teams) divided into two groups. For the 2022–23 season, it will be a return of two short tournaments consisting of 10 total matches played home & away and the liguilla. The 2019–20 Liga Premier de México season is divided into two divisions named Serie A and Serie B. Liga Premier is the third-tier and fourth-tier football league of Mexico. Bahía de Banderas (, Spanish for ''Bay of Flags'') is a bay on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, within the Mexican states of Jalisco and Nayarit. The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is an American soccer league that was founded in Santa Ana in Southern California, with teams in regionalized conferences throughout the United States, and recently Canada and Mexico.
