Atlético Astorga Fútbol Club is a List of football clubs in Spain, Spanish football team based in Astorga, Spain, Astorga in the autonomous community of Castile and León. Founded in 1969, it plays in the Tercera División RFEF, Tercera División RFEF – Group 8. Its stadium is ''Estadio La Eragudina'' with a capacity of 3,000 seats. History In August 2017, Atlético Astorga announced links with Aspire Academy whose network of clubs include Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa and Leeds United. The link up saw some Aspire based players join the club. 1983–84 Copa Del Rey
The 1983–84 Copa del Rey was the 82nd staging of the Spanish Cup, the annual domestic football cup competition in Spain. The tournament was attended by 136 teams from the higher echelons of Spanish football. The tournament began on 7 September 1983 and ended on 5 May 1984 with the final, held in Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, in Madrid. FC Barcelona played their second consecutive final but lost to Athletic Bilbao in a match remembered for its incidents, toughness and especially the scuffle at the end. The match was preceded by controversial statements from both sides and with memories of the previous game in which Maradona was seriously injured. Once the game finished, Maradona himself started a fight that ended with all players in a pitched battle. The match ended with a 1–0 victory for the Basque team. The 1985–86 Copa del Rey was the 84th staging of the Copa del Rey, the annual domestic cup competition in the Spanish football. The tournament was attended by 142 teams from the main categories of Spaniard football. The tournament began on 11 September 1985 and ended on 26 April 1986 with the final, held in Vicente Calderón Stadium in Madrid. Real Zaragoza won their third title and got reedit the title after 20 years. The final ended with a 1–0 victory over Barcelona with a solitary goal from Rubén Sosa. The defending champions, Atlético Madrid, were defeated 2–1 (on the aggregate score) by Barcelona in the quarter-finals.
