Atle Gulbrandsen
Atle Gulbrandsen (born 15 September 1979 in Hamar, Norway) is a racing driver and television announcer. Racing career Gulbrandsen started with karting in Norway in 1992, and drove some other junior series before he did the Skip Barber Southern Series in the USA in 2003/2004. Since 2005 he has participated in the German VLN Endurance Series at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, with several victories for the Norwegian Audi Dealer Team. In 2022 Gulbrandsen and his team won the TCR-class in the championship. In 2007 he also became the Norwegian Seven Racing Champion, and in 2021 he did a race in the Norwegian GT Championship with a Lamborghini GT3. Television career In 1997 Atle Gulbrandsen became the world's youngest Formula 1 commentator at 17, when he did the announcing for Canal+ Norway. Kart racing or karting is a road racing variant of motorsport with open-wheel, four-wheeled vehicles known as go-karts or shifter karts. Skip Barber
John "Skip" Barber III (born November 16, 1936) is an American retired racecar driver who is most famous for previously owning and founding the Skip Barber Racing Schools. Driving career Barber started racing in 1958 while studying at Harvard University, where he earned a degree in English. In the mid-1960s, he won three SCCA national championships in a row and finished third in the 1967 United States Road Racing Championship. Later, Barber won consecutive Formula Ford National Championships (1969 and 1970), a record tied only recently. At the start of the 1971 season he purchased a March 711, which he planned to take back to the United States and race in the U.S. Formula 5000 series. Before he did so, he took part in the Monaco Grand Prix, Dutch Grand Prix, United States Grand Prix, and Canadian Grand Prix in a privately funded March. The is a 150,000 person capacity motorsports complex located in the town of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It features a Formula One, Grand Prix race track built in 1984, and a long "North loop" track, built in the 1920s, around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel mountains. TV3 Norway is a commercial television channel targeting Norway owned by Viaplay Group. It was separated from the earlier Pan-Scandinavian version in 1990. Unlike its main rivals, NRK, TV 2 and TVNorge, the channel does not broadcast from Norway but from West Drayton, Middlesex in the United Kingdom, even if the channel is almost solely aimed at Norwegian viewers. This excludes the channel from the strict rules in Norway that apply to advertising (ban on advertisements aimed at children or interrupting programs). Also unlike the other main channels, it wasn't available on analogue terrestrial, having to rely on satellite and cable television for its distribution.
