Atlantic-Haus
Atlantic-Haus is an 88 m high-rise office building in the St. Pauli district of Hamburg. Designed by Munich-based architect Thomas Herzog and completed in 2007, the Atlantic-Haus is part of a cluster of high-rises at Hamburg's ''Hafenkrone'', an area between the St. Pauli Piers and St. Pauli's Reeperbahn district. Thomas Herzog
Thomas Herzog (born 3 August 1941) is a German architect from Munich known for his focus on climate and energy use through the use of technologically advanced architectural skins. He began with an interest in pneumatics and became Germany's youngest architecture professor at the age of 32. He established his firm Herzog + Partner in 1983. Biography * 1941 Born in Munich. Emporis GmbH was a real estate data mining company that was headquartered in Hamburg, Germany. The company collected data and photographs of buildings worldwide, which were published in an online database from 2000 to September 2022. On 12 September 2022, the managing director of CoStar Europe posted a letter on Emporis.com, informing its community members of the decision which had been made to retire the Emporis community platform, effective 13 September 2022. Emporis offered a variety of information on its public database, Emporis.com. Emporis was frequently cited by various media sources as an authority on building data. Reeperbahn
The Reeperbahn () is a street and entertainment district in Hamburg's St. Pauli district, one of the two centres of Hamburg's nightlife (the other being Sternschanze) and also the city's major red-light district. In German, it is also nicknamed ''die sündigste Meile'' (the most sinful mile) and ''Kiez''. The Reeperbahn Festival is among the largest club festivals.
