The Atlanta Police Foundation is an American not for profit organisation that provides support to the Atlanta Police Department. It is the majority funder of emergency services training centre Cop City. Organization The Atlanta Police Foundation was founded in 2003 to fund police activity that is not funded by government. The Atlanta Police Department (APD) is a law enforcement agency in the city of Atlanta, Georgia, U.S. The city shifted from its rural-based Marshal and Deputy Marshal model at the end of the 19th century.
