Carrara Stadium
Carrara Stadium (known commercially as Metricon Stadium) is a stadium on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, located in the suburb of Carrara. The stadium is primarily used for Australian rules football, serving as the home ground of the Gold Coast Suns, who compete in the Australian Football League. In addition, the venue is used occasionally for cricket, including Big Bash League matches. Carrara Stadium received substantial redevelopment work prior to the entry of the Brisbane Bears to the VFL/AFL in 1987, but following the Bears relocation to the Gabba in 1993, it was used for other sports including rugby league, rugby union and even baseball. The stadium has hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2018 Commonwealth Games as well as the athletics competitions. Ryan Gregson
Ryan Gregory Gregson (born 26 April 1990) is an Australian middle-distance runner. He formerly held the Australian record for the men's 1500 metres now held by Stewart McSweyn. Personal life Gregson studied carpentry at TAFE NSW in Wollongong and has a degree in business and marketing from the Swinburne University of Technology. As a teenager he competed nationally in cricket and field hockey. His is married to Olympic runner Genevieve Gregson (née LaCaze) and his cousin Casey Sablowski is an Olympic field hockey player. Running career Youth Gregson finished 5th in the boys' 1500 metres at the 2007 World Youth Championships in Ostrava. Ronald Musagala (born 16 December 1992 in Iganga) is a Ugandan middle-distance and long-distance runner. At the 2013 World Championships in Moscow, he bowed out in the semi-finals of the 800 metres. Charles Da'Vall Grice (born 7 November 1993), informally known as Charlie Grice, is a British middle distance athlete. Athletics career Grice started out as both a footballer, playing at county level, and an athlete, but balancing them both led to injuries and he decided to solely focus on athletics. He had a breakthrough in 2010, when he broke the English Schools' Athletics Association Championships record in the final of the 1500 metres as well as taking the title. He went on from this to win bronze at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics in the 1000 metres, after coming second at the European Trials event in Russia. In 2012 he broke Steve Ovett's British junior mile record, running 3:57.90 at the London Grand Prix in Crystal Palace as part of the Diamond League. Naib Subedar Jinson Johnson (born 15 March 1991) is an Indian middle-distance runner and an Indian Army Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) who specialises in the 800 and 1500 metres event. He participated in the 800 metres event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In 2018 Commonwealth Games he finished fifth setting a new national record in the 1500 metres race by breaking 23 year old record of Bahadur Prasad. He represented his country at the 2017 World Championships failing to qualify for the next round despite setting a new national record.
