The women's 1500 metres at the 2008 Summer Olympics took place from 21–23 August at the Beijing National Stadium. The qualifying standards were 4:07.00 (A standard) and 4:08.00 (B standard). Sylwia Ejdys-Tomaszewska (born 15 July 1984 in Bogatynia) is a Polish middle distance runner who specialises in the 1500 metres. She competed in the event at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Natalia Rodríguez Martínez (born 2 June 1979) is a Spanish middle distance runner, who specializes in the 1500 metres. She was born in Tarragona, and represented Spain at the Summer Olympics in 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012.
