Lezama Facilities
The Lezama Facilities ( eu, Lezamako Kirol-instalakuntzak, es, Instalaciones de Lezama), is the training ground and academy of the Primera Division club Athletic Bilbao. Located in the Lezama village around 10 km east of Bilbao, it was opened in 1971. Lezama hosts Athletic's first team for training and the league matches of Athletic EFT (women's team), as well as ten base youth teams: Bilbao Athletic (reserve team, currently playing at the Segunda División B level), women's B team, two junior teams (17 to 19 years old), two cadets (with ages between 15 and 16), two youngster teams (13 and 14) and three children's teams (the youngest, 11 and 12 years of age) which make up the club's football academy. RCD Espanyol Femení (Real Club Deportivo Español) is the women's football section of RCD Espanyol and was founded in 1970. History RCD Espanyol was one of the pioneering teams in women's football in Spain, playing its first match as early as 1970. The 2012 Copa de la Reina de Fútbol was the 30th edition of the Spanish women's football national cup. It took place between 8 and 10 June in RFEF's Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, and it was contested following the end of the 2011–12 Primera División as a final four by the top four teams in the table, a major cut from the previous edition's fourteen contestants. On April 8, defending champion Barcelona became the first team to qualify for the competition. Athletic Club and Espanyol also qualified in subsequent weeks, and Rayo Vallecano clinched the last spot by earning a 1–1 draw against contender Levante in the final date. The Copa de la Reina (Queen's Cup) is an annual cup competition for Spanish women's association football teams organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
