Atanas Dalchev
Atanas Hristov Dalchev (also written ''Dalčev''; bg, Атанас Далчев) (June 12, 1904 - January 17, 1978) was a Bulgarian poet, critic and translator. He was among the leading Bulgarian poets of the 1920s and 1930s. Dalchev was also a prominent translator of poetry and fiction from French, Spanish, English, German and Russian authors. He was a recipient of the Herder Prize in 1972 (for his ''overall literary work'') and the Znak Pocheta Order (or Order of the Badge of Honor) in 1967 (for popularisation of Russian culture in Bulgaria). Dalchev was born in Thessaloniki. His father Hristo Dalchev was a lawyer, who as an MP from the People's Federative Party (Bulgarian Section) represеnted Macedonian Bulgarians in the Ottoman parliament. The family relocated to Sofia in 1913 after the Balkan wars. In 1922 Atanas graduated from Sofia's First Men's High School. Atanas Atanasov (footballer, Born 1985)
Atanas Atanasov ( bg, Атанас Атанасов; born 14 July 1985 in Pleven) is a Bulgarian footballer who plays as a defender. His role on the pitch is left wingback. Career Atanasov started to play football at Spartak Pleven, but at the age of 18 moved to Chernomorets Burgas and during season 2003-04 made his debut in the A PFG. After that he played also in Vidima-Rakovski Sevlievo and Belite orli. In January 2008 Atanasov returned to his first club Spartak Pleven. Some six months later signed a contract with Beroe Stara Zagora and during season 2008-09 with the club he became champion of the second division. Atanasov was part of the Dunav Ruse squad that earned consecutive promotions to First League and finished 4th in the top flight at the end of the 2016–17 campaign. He left the club in June 2017. Atanas Bornosuzov ( bg, Атанас Борносузов; born 5 October 1979) is a former Bulgarian footballer who played as a midfielder. For Bulgaria U21, Bornosuzov was capped 22 times. Career Bornosuzov started to play football in Maritsa Plovdiv. After spending the first two years of his career in the little clubs Sokol Komatevo, Olimpik Teteven and Dobrudzha Dobrich, in 1999 Bornosuzov signed a contract with the Champion of Bulgaria for 1998–99 Litex Lovech. Atanas Golomeev ( bg, Атанас Голомеев) is a retired Bulgarian professional basketball player and coach. At a height of 2.08 m (6'10") tall, he played at the center position. Atanas Dzhambazki ( bg, Атанас Джамбазки; born 4 April 1969) is a Bulgarian football manager and former player. Coaching career In 2009 Dzhambazki became manager of Montana, after their former manager Stevica Kuzmanovski was released. Atanas Atanasov ( bg, Атанас Атанасов; born 7 October 1956) is a retired Bulgarian long jumper. He won the 1981, 1984 and 1985 Balkan Championships. He finished eighth at the 1982 European Championships, twelfth at the 1983 World Championships, seventh at the 1985 European Indoor Championships, and seventh at the 1986 Goodwill Games. Atanas Atanasov ( bg, Атанас Атанасов; born 19 September 1945) is a retired Bulgarian runner who specialized in the 800 metres and 1500 metres. He won the 1968 and 1969 Balkan Championships. At the 1971 European Indoor Championships he finished fourth in the 4 x 800 metres relay with the Bulgarian team (Atanasov, Petar Kyatovski, Dimcho Deribeev, Petar Khikov). He also competed in the 800 metres without reaching the final round. In 1972 he set Bulgarian records in the 800 metres with 1:48.6 minutes and 1500 metres with 3:40.6 minutes.
