Atal Tunnel (also known as Rohtang Tunnel), named after former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee is a highway tunnel built under the Rohtang Pass in the eastern Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas on the Leh-Manali Highway in Himachal Pradesh, India. At a length of 9.02 km, it is the world's highest highway single-tube tunnel above in the world. As Tall As Lions were an indie rock band from Long Island, New York. History High school friends Dan Nigro (lead vocals & guitars), Saen Fitzgerald (guitar, keyboards, & percussion), Brian Fortune (guitars & keyboards) and Cliff Sarcona (drums & percussion) founded the band in December 2001 as they were looking to continue the momentum of a previous project, a group called SundazE. ''Blood and Aphorisms'' '' Blood and Aphorisms'' was released in July 2002, at local venue Backstreet Blues. Upon its release, vocalist Dan Nigro sent the EP to some websites, which caught the attention of then-influential "thescout.net". The EP garnered the band local radio airplay and the attention of the local music scene. Without a permanent live bassist however, the band used studio engineer Rich Leigey, who had worked on the EP, and friend Julio Tavarez, before Dan Nigro began auditioning and recruiting bassists. ''As Tall as Lions'' is the second full-length album from As Tall as Lions. It was released on August 8, 2006, on Triple Crown Records. Recording and production The album took seven months to write and two months to record. It was produced by Mike Watts and Steve Haigler, and was released on CD and Limited Edition Vinyl. Critical reception The album received generally positive reviews. AbsolutePunk.net gave it a rating of nine out of ten, comparing them to (amongst others) Damien Rice, U2 and The Mars Volta. PopMatters was equally enthusiastic, giving it 8 out of 10 and calling it "skillful, beautiful, and musically significant". Alternative Press Magazine, known for reviewing mostly rock and indie bands, gave the album five of five stars and listed the band amongst their 2008's Most Anticipated Bands due to this "self-titled masterpiece." Technological And Logistics Directorate
The Israeli Technological and Logistics Directorate (acronym: Atal) is a directorate in the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, responsible for its logistics responses and tasks, and in particular: the building of military bases, maintaining a medical infrastructure during peacetime and times of war and emergencies, caring for the nutrition of soldiers, as well as for the fuel and maintenance of the managerial and military vehicle fleet of the IDF. The Directorate is the third manifestation of the Technological and Logistics Directorate, overseeing the Logistics Corps, which saw many of its units and much of its authority transferred to the Ground Forces.
