Hiroshi Masumura
is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known for his adaptations of Kenji Miyazawa's children novels, including his work on the anime film ''Night on the Galactic Railroad'' (1985), and for several manga series set in the fantasy universe '' Atagoul''. Several of his manga feature anthropomorphic cats as protagonists. Career Masumura started his career in 1973 at the age of 21, when he was the runner-up in the 5th Tezuka Award and subsequently got to publish his debut work ''Kiri ni musebu yoru'' in ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'', still using the kanji version of his name (増村博) rather than the hiragana one he would subsequently use. In 1975, he published a few short stories in the alternative manga magazine ''Garo'', which were his first stories set in the ''Atagoul'' universe. Aya Hirayama
is a Japanese actress who has appeared in various films including ''Waterboys'' (2001) and Lovers' Kiss (2003). Hirayama was born in Kuroiso, Tochigi, Japan, which is now part of Nasushiobara. Aya made her acting debut in 1999 with '' Tengoku no Kiss'', a Nippon Television drama, at the age of 15. Kei Tani
(born Yasuo Watanabe (渡部 泰雄, Watanabe Yasuo) ; 22 February 1932 – 11 September 2010) was a Japanese comedian, actor and musician. Born in Tokyo, he learned to play the trombone and, while a student at Chuo University, began playing in jazz bands performing for American soldiers during the Occupation of Japan. He quit university and joined the City Slickers with Frankie Sakai in 1953. In 1956, he joined the comic-jazz band The Crazy Cats with Hajime Hana and Hitoshi Ueki. He came to fame when the Crazy Cats started appearing on television, especially through their variety show "Shabondama Holiday," and in movies, through comedy series such as the "Irresponsible" (Musekinin) series at Toho. Some of his nonsense one-word gags such as "gachon" became buzzwords imitated throughout the nation. , more commonly known by her stage name , is a Japanese singer, dancer and actress. Born in Tokyo, she started work as a singer from a young age. is the publishing arm of The Asahi Shimbun Company, publishing books, magazines, and manga. It replaced on 1 April 2008 just after it went bankrupt. History Asahi Sonorama was created as a division of Asahi Shimbunsha on September 9, 1959, under the name "Asahi Sonopress". It was initially established to record interviews, news, crime scene investigations, and articles on a variety of topics, and then release them on tape and sonosheets in the audio recording magazine ''Asahi Sonorama'' (from whence the company got its name). While doing this, the company also began publishing other magazines, manga collections, and novels. Even though the sound quality of sonosheets was lower than that of vinyl records, the sonosheets were flexible and could last a long time.
