"At Night" is a song by Swiss house music project Shakedown, featuring vocals from American singer Terra Deva. Released on 29 April 2002, it reached number six on the UK Singles Chart and number one on the UK Dance Chart in May 2002. The song was a minor hit in the rest of Europe except Greece, where it reached number five. Shakedown is a Swiss musical project, known internationally for its 2002 hit single, " At Night". By the time they started the group in 1999, Stephan Mandrax and Sebastien Kohler were two brothers who blended their knowledge to form their genre, a modified disco infused house crossed with electro. History The 1980s Stephan 'Mandrax' Kohler, a fan of new wave and punk, made his 1984 DJ debut in a notorious music club called Dolce Vita in Lausanne. While in England he discovered house music, and two years later started to promote illegal parties on his return to Switzerland in order to DJ and play for large crowds, thus pioneering this new sound nationally by playing all over the country and around Europe, especially Paris. Early 1990s Stephan moved to New York City in 1992, starting the labels, Liquid Groove and Boombastic and with the American DJ, Mike Delgado. The ARIA Charts are the main Australian music sales charts, issued weekly by the Australian Recording Industry Association. Terra Deva McNair is an American singer, songwriter, actor, and dancer known for her work in seasons 4 & 5 of ''The Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Club.'' She has had continued success as a solo and collaborative artist. Terra was born in Northern California. After many years living in New York and London, she now lives in Los Angeles. Early career Her unusual pubescent workaholic ethic landed her first real job starring in the TV show ''The Mickey Mouse Club'' for two seasons. She sang, acted, danced and interviewed celebrities five days a week. At 16 she left Disney. Around 1993, Terra started going to raves and clubs.
