Askal
Aspin (portmanteau asong Pinoy) is the Tagalog language name for Mongrel, mongrel dogs in the Philippines. These dogs are either entirely descended from dogs that are indigenous to the Philippines, or are mixed-breed. Names By the late 20th century, dogs commonly seen wandering the streets were called "''askal''", a Tagalog language, Tagalog-derived portmanteau of ''asong kalye'', which literally means street dog. In 2007, the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) suggested the alternative term "''aspin''", short for ''asong Pinoy'' (Pinoy dog) to avoid the stigma associated with the term "''askal''". In Cebuano language, Cebuano, dogs are called irong Bisaya, which literally means "Visayans, Visayan dog" or "native dog", implying that these are not thought of as a mixed-breed dog so much as unbred mongrels with no purebred ancestors. Col d'Aspin ( oc, Còth d'Aspin) (elevation ) is a mountain pass in the French Pyrenees in the department of the Hautes-Pyrénées. It connects Sainte-Marie-de-Campan, in the upper Adour valley, with Arreau, on the River Neste. Details of the climbs From Sainte-Marie-de-Campan (west), the ascent is in length, gaining in height, at an average of 5%. In comparison with its neighbour, the Col du Tourmalet, this is considered an "easy" climb, with only the last five kilometres, at about 8%, being difficult. From Arreau (east), the climb is more difficult; over the climb averages 6.5%, gaining in height. On both sides of the Col de l'Aspin mountain pass cycling milestones are placed every kilometre. Aspin Valve
An Aspin valve consists of a cone-shaped metal part fitted to the cylinder head in internal combustion. Aspin valves were first patented by Frank Metcalf Aspin in 1939, although the idea was devised before this time. The valve rotates to provide the opening and closing necessary for intake and exhaust. It is attached to the engine, vertical to the cylinder block, via a shaft at its top; this allows the valve to rotate horizontally above the cylinder and when it turns. Leslie Aspin Jr. (July 21, 1938 – May 21, 1995) was an American Democratic Party politician who served as the U.S. representative for Wisconsin's 1st congressional district from 1971 to 1993 and as the 18th United States Secretary of Defense under President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 1994. In Congress, Aspin had a reputation as an intellectual who took a middle-of-the-road position on controversial issues. He supported the Reagan administration regarding the MX missile and aid to the Nicaraguan Contras, but he opposed the B-2 bomber and the Strategic Defense Initiative. Neil Aspin
Neil Aspin (born 12 April 1965) is an English football manager and former player. A solid defender who could play at centre-back and right-back, he was a good marker and an adept tackler. He made his debut in the English Football League for Leeds United at the age of 16 in February 1982, which would be his only appearance in the First Division (first tier). He spent seven seasons in the Second Division (second tier) with the club, making 244 league and cup appearances and being named as the club's Player of the Year for the 1984–85 season. He was sold to Port Vale for a £150,000 fee in July 1989, and would go on to make 410 appearances in all competitions during a ten-season stay at Vale Park. He was named as the club's Player of the Year in the 1989–90 season and helped the "Valiants" to win the Football League Trophy in 1993.
