Nae Caranfil
Nae Caranfil (; also Nicolae Caranfil) (born 7 September 1960) is a Romanian film director and screenwriter. Career Born in Bucharest, Nae Caranfil is the son of important Romanian film historian and critic Tudor Caranfil. He graduated in 1984 from the Caragiale Academy of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography (UNATC) in Bucharest, where he has also taught as a professor. In the beginning of his career he directed only short films: ''Venice in September'' (1983), ''Thirty Years of Insomnia'' (1984), and ''Backstage'' (1988). Caranfil made his feature film debut with ''E Pericoloso Sporgersi'' (1993) and continued with road movie comedy ''Asfalt tango'' starring Charlotte Rampling (1996) and with ''Dolce far niente'' (1998). Charlotte Rampling
Tessa Charlotte Rampling (born 5 February 1946) is an English actress, known for her work in European arthouse films in English, French, and Italian. An icon of the Swinging Sixties, she began her career as a model. She was cast in the role of Meredith in the 1966 film ''Georgy Girl'', which starred Lynn Redgrave. She soon began making French and Italian arthouse films, notably Luchino Visconti's '' The Damned'' (1969) and Liliana Cavani's ''The Night Porter'' (1974). Mircea Diaconu
Mircea Diaconu (; born 24 December 1949) is a Romanian actor, writer, and politician. First appearing on stage in 1970, and on screen two years later, Diaconu pursued a lengthy career in both formats, working with a series of prominent directors. He acted in some sixty films through the 2000s, and continued to act in theatre during the ensuing decade. He took part in the Romanian Revolution of 1989. In 2008, he entered electoral politics, becoming a senator, and subsequently serving a term as a Member of the European Parliament. In 2019, he ran for president, placing fourth.
