Asif Kottayil
Asif Kottayil (born 24 May 1985 in Trikaripur, Kasaragod) is an Indian footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Mohun Bagan in the I-League. Career Prayag United After playing college football at Payyanur College, Asif was signed by Malabar United of the I-League 2nd Division for the 2008 season. After two seasons with Malabar, Asif was signed by Prayag United who were then known as Chirag United, where he made just the one appearance in one season. Chirag United Kerala After one season at Chirag United, Asif joined Chirag United Club Kerala after Chirag Group who were sponsors of Chirag United dropped their sponsorship of the Kolkata club and took over Viva Kerala, renaming the Kerala-based club as Chirag United Kerala. He only stayed at the club for one season however scoring once in nineteen appearances. Kasaragod, Kerala
Kasaragod () is a municipal town and administrative headquarters of Kasaragod district in the state of Kerala, India. Established in 1966, Kasaragod was the first municipal town in the district. 2010–11 I-League
The 2010–11 I-League was the fourth season of the I-League, which waa the highest football league competition in India during the time. It ran from 3 December 2010 to May 2011. Dempo are the defending champions. On 30 May 2011 Salgaocar SC won the title by beating JCT FC 2–0 in the final match of the season. Teams Sporting Clube de Goa and Shillong Lajong FC were relegated at the end of the 2009–10 season after finishing in the bottom two places of the table. They were replaced by 2010 Second Division champions ONGC FC and runners-up HAL SC. In other team changes, Mahindra United were disbanded at the end of the 2009–10 season to concentrate on youth football. I-League Players
The I-League (known as Hero I-League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp) is the second-tier men's professional football competition of the Indian football league system. The 2015–16 I-League was the ninth season of the I-League, the Indian professional football league, since its establishment in 2007. The season commenced on 9 January 2016, after the Indian Super League finished, and concluded on 24 April 2016. The 2014–15 I-League (known as the ''Hero I-League'' for sponsorship reasons) was the eighth season of the I-League, the Indian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. The 2014 Hero Indian Super League was the first season of the Indian Super League, the top flight football league of India. The season featured eight teams, each playing 14 matches during the regular season. The regular season started on 12 October when Atlético de Kolkata defeated Mumbai City 3–0 at the Salt Lake Stadium.
