Asia Street
''Asia Street'' was the umbrella title for the International Channel's nightly three-hour prime-time block of shows geared towards Asian-Americans in the United States. The lineup continued in a different and modified approach on its successor, AZN Television. Asia Street offered a mix of English-language original programming ranging from sitcoms to sketch comedy programs, as well as anime, dramas, movies and variety shows. AZN Television
AZN Television (formerly called International Channel) was a cable TV channel which promoted itself as "the network for Asian America". It was run by International Networks, a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcast Corporation. The channel's programming targeted the fast-growing, young, affluent, English-speaking Asian-American community. Genres included the most popular Asian films, dramas, documentaries and music as well as a diverse slate of original programming. It competed in certain markets with ImaginAsian Television. Asian Americans are Americans of Asian ancestry (including naturalized Americans who are immigrants from specific regions in Asia and descendants of such immigrants).
