Asia Booth
Asia Frigga Booth Clarke (November 19, 1835 – May 16, 1888) was a 19th-century American writer. Early years Asia Frigga Booth was the eighth in Booth family, the family of ten children born to Junius Brutus Booth and his wife Mary Ann Holmes. Her famous brothers were Junius Brutus Booth Jr., Edwin Thomas Booth, and John Wilkes Booth. Asia was named for the continent where her father thought the Garden of Eden had been located. Career On April 28, 1859, Booth married John Sleeper Clarke at St. Paul's Episcopal Church (Baltimore, Maryland), St. Paul's Episcopal Church, in Baltimore, Maryland. The couple had eight children, two of whom, Creston (1865–1910) and Wilfred (1867–1945), became actors. Wilfred would later marry actress Victory Bateman. Bel Air, Harford County, Maryland
The town of Bel Air is the county seat of Harford County, Maryland. According to the 2020 United States census, the population of the town was 10,661. History Bel Air's identity has gone through several incarnations since 1780. Aquilla Scott, who had inherited land known as "Scott's Improvement Enlarged," planned the town on a portion that he called "Scott's Old Fields." Four years later, the town had expanded as local politicians, merchants, and innkeepers purchased lots from Scott, and the county commissioners decided to change its name to the more appealing "Belle Aire." In his deeds, Scott dropped one letter, renaming the town, "Bell Aire." Around 1798, court records dropped two more letters, and "Bel Air" was born. During this period, Bel Air began to rise in prominence. Greenmount Cemetery
Green Mount Cemetery is a historic rural cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Established on March 15, 1838, and dedicated on July 13, 1839, it is noted for the large number of historical figures interred in its grounds as well as many prominent Baltimore-area families. It retained the name Green Mount when the land was purchased from the heirs of Baltimore merchant Robert Oliver. Green Mount is a treasury of precious works of art, including striking works by major sculptors including William H. Rinehart and Hans Schuler. The cemetery was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Guided tours are available at various times of the year. Booth Family (theatre)
The Booth family was an English American theatrical family of the 19th century. Its most known members were Edwin Booth, one of the leading actors of his day, and John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Abraham Lincoln. The patriarch was Junius Brutus Booth, a London-born lawyer's son who eventually became an actor after he attended a production of ''Othello'' at the Covent Garden theatre. The prospects of fame, fortune, and freedom were very appealing to young Booth, and he displayed remarkable talent from an early age, deciding on a career in the theatre by the age of 17. He performed roles in several small theaters throughout England, and joined a tour of the Low Countries in 1814, returning the following year to make his London debut.
