Ashok Kumar (golfer)
Ashok Kumar (born 20 July 1983) is a professional golfer from India, currently playing on the Professional Golf Tour of India, where he was the 2003/04 and the 2006/07 Order of Merit winner. In 2004, he won the Hero Honda Golf Tour Order of Merit for the 2003/04 season. He won it again in 2006/07 and in 2010 under the name of the PGTI after recording 5 wins in 8 events played, where he finished in the top-10 in all 8 of them. Kumar played in 12 events in 2008, but did not record a win, finishing in the top-10 8 times. Kumar added another win in 2009 in April at the All India Match Play Championship. Bonallack Trophy
The Bonallack Trophy is an amateur golf competition on the model of the Ryder Cup which opposes every two years a European team and a team representing Asia/Pacific. The venue alternates between courses in Europe and Asia/Pacific. The first competition took place in 1998 in Perth, Australia. Since 2016 it has been held concurrently with the women's Patsy Hankins Trophy. Europe leads the series 7 wins to 3. Format The Bonallack Trophy involves various match play competitions between players selected from two teams of twelve representing Europe and Asia/Pacific. It takes place over three days, with a total of 32 matches being played, all matches being over 18 holes. The first two days comprise five foursomes matches and five four-ball matches. 2000 Eisenhower Trophy
The 2000 Eisenhower Trophy took place 31 August to 3 September on the Nick Faldo and Arnold Palmer courses at Sporting Club Berlin in Bad Saarow, Germany. It was the 22nd World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 59 four-man teams. The best three scores for each round counted towards the team total. Each team played two rounds on the two courses. The leading teams played on the Arnold Palmer course on the third day and on the Nick Faldo course on the final day. United States won the Eisenhower Trophy for the 11th time, finishing 16 strokes ahead of the silver medalists, Great Britain and Ireland. Australia took the bronze medal with Sweden in fourth place. Eisenhower Trophy
The Eisenhower Trophy (World Men's Amateur Team Championships) is the biennial World Amateur Team Championship for men organized by the International Golf Federation. Since the tournament was first played in 1958, it is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the President of the United States at the time, who was a keen amateur golfer. The equivalent competition for women is the Espirito Santo Trophy. Results The 1958 championship resulted in a tie. There was an 18-hole playoff which Australia won with a score of 222 to the United States 224. From 1958 to 2000 the teams had four players with the best three scores counting for each round. From 2002 the teams have been three players with two counting. The 2004, 2010 and 2012 championships were reduced to 54 holes because of bad weather. Sujjan Singh (born 12 September 1980) is an Indian professional golfer. He turned professional in 2005 and joined the Professional Golf Tour of India, where he has two wins.
