''Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse'' is a web series of computer-animated shorts produced by Arc Productions and Mattel which originally aired on YouTube and the official Barbie website from 10 January 2012 to 27 November 2015. The series is currently available on Netflix, but only as specialized bundles of episodes instead of the series' original chronological episode order. Two TV specials aired on Nickelodeon on September 1, 2013. A follow-up long-form CGI- animated series, titled '' Barbie: Dreamhouse Adventures'', was released between May 3, 2018 and April 12, 2020 on Netflix. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. Ken (doll)
Kenneth Sean Carson is a fashion doll and fictional character invented by Elliot Handler and introduced by American toy company Mattel in 1961 as the counterpart of Barbie, who was introduced two years earlier. Ken was named after Kenneth Handler, son of Barbie creator/inventor Ruth Handler, just as Barbie was named after her daughter. Ken Handler died in 1994 of a brain tumor. Similar to Barbie, Ken is from Willows, Wisconsin and has a fashionable line of clothing and accessories (although he made his debut wearing only a swimsuit). ''Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures'', ''Barbie: Dreamhouse Adventures'' or just ''Dreamhouse Adventures'', is a CGI-animated adventure comedy children's streaming television series released between May 3, 2018 and April 12, 2020 on Netflix in the United States, while in Canada, it premiered on YTV on June 22, 2018.
