Ashish Sinha
Ashish Sinha (born 16 September 1990) is an Indian cricketer, politician and advocate. He is the son of Arun Kumar Sinha, BJP MLA from Kumhrar Assembly seat. He is the former president of Patna University Students Union (PUSU). He made his first-class debut for Jharkhand against Rajasthan in 2010-11 Ranji Trophy on 8 December 2010. Ahead of the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy, he transferred from Jharkhand to Bihar. He made his List A debut for Bihar in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 20 September 2018. List A cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (one-day) form of the sport of cricket, with games lasting up to eight hours. The Vijay Hazare Trophy, (officially known as Mastercard Vijay Hazare trophy for sponsorship reasons) also known as the Ranji One-Day Trophy, is an annual limited-overs cricket domestic competition involving state teams from the Ranji Trophy plates organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy was the 17th season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, a List A cricket tournament in India. Karnataka were the defending champions. It was contested by 37 domestic cricket teams of India, starting on 19 September 2018, ahead of the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy. In April 2018, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) reinstated Bihar for the competition, bringing the total teams to 29. In July 2018, the BCCI increased the total number of teams to 37, with the addition of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Puducherry, Sikkim and Uttarakhand. The tournament has four groups, with nine teams in Groups A and B, and ten teams in Group C. All the new teams were placed in the Plate Group. The Bihar cricket team represents the state of Bihar in Indian domestic cricket competitions. It is run by Bihar Cricket Association. History 1936 to 2004 The team competed in the Ranji Trophy from 1936-37 until 2003–04. The 2018–19 Ranji Trophy was the 85th season of the Ranji Trophy, the premier first-class cricket tournament that took place in India between November 2018 and February 2019.
