Asha Sinha
Asha Sinha is a former Director General of Police in Jharkhand Police. She has the distinction of being appointed the first Woman Commandant of any of police force in the year 1992. She is a retired Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer of 1982-Batch. She has held several important assignments in the States of Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Bihar and Government of India culminating in the appointment to the senior most position, as Director General of Police in the year 2013. Personal life and education Asha Sinha was born in Kottayam, Kerala, India to PK Thampan, a Chartered Accountant working for the Kerala State Electricity Board and Smt. Director general of police (DGP) is a rank in the Indian Police Service, held by the highest ranking police officer in a State or a Union Territory of India, typically heading the state or the UT police force. Holy Angel's Convent Trivandrum
The Holy Angels' Convent Higher Secondary School is one of the oldest educational institutions in the city of Trivandrum/Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of the Kerala state in India. The State Legislative Assembly, or Vidhan Sabha, or also Saasana Sabha, is a legislative body in the states and union territories of India. In the 28 states and 3 union territories with a unicameral state legislature, it is the sole legislative body and in 6 states it is the lower house of their bicameral state legislatures with the upper house being State Legislative Council. 5 union territories are governed directly by the Union Government of India and have no legislative body. Each Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) is directly elected to serve 5-year terms by single-member constituencies. The Lok Sabha, constitutionally the House of the People, is the lower house of India's bicameral Parliament, with the upper house being the Rajya Sabha.
