Ash Robson
Ash Robson (born 4 November 1995) is a former rugby league footballer who played as a or for Castleford Tigers and York City Knights. Background Robson was born in York, England. Career As a junior, Robson played for York Acorn A.R.L.F.C. then signed for Super League side Castleford Tigers, with whom he made three first-team appearances in the 2015 season. His contract at Castleford was extended until the end of the 2017 season but a knee injury in a pre-season friendly caused him to miss the entire 2016 season. Championship (rugby League)
The Championship, known as the Betfred Championship for sponsorship reasons, is a professional rugby league competition. It is the second-tier competition organised by the Rugby Football League, the governing body for the sport in England, and consists of 14 teams, with promotion to the Super League and relegation to the third-tier competition, League One. The league announced a two-year sponsorship deal with the bookmaking company Betfred ahead of the 2018 season. Super League
The Super League (officially known as the Betfred Super League due to sponsorship from Betfred and legally known as Super League Europe), is the top-level of the British rugby league system. At present the league consists of twelve teams, of which eleven are from Northern England, reflecting the sport's geographic heartland within the UK, and one from southern France. The Super League began in 1996, replacing the existing Rugby Football League Championship First Division, First Division and, significantly, switching from a traditional winter season to a summer season.
