Ash Palmisciano
Ash Palmisciano (born 3 January 1990) is an English actor. He came out as transgender in 2012 and later became the first trans actor to appear on stage at the Royal Shakespeare Company. He was later hired by the ITV1 soap opera '' Emmerdale'' to work as a story consultant for a trans storyline, but after impressing producers, he was instead cast on the soap. His character, Matty Barton, became the first trans character on ''Emmerdale'' and he won the Best Newcomer accolade at the ''Inside Soap'' Awards for his portrayal of Matty. Early life Palmisciano was born on 3 January 1990 in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Leamington Spa
Royal Leamington Spa, commonly known as Leamington Spa or simply Leamington (), is a spa town and civil parish in Warwickshire, England. Originally a small village called Leamington Priors, it grew into a spa town in the 18th century following the popularisation of its water which was reputed to have medicinal qualities. In the 19th century, the town experienced one of the most rapid expansions in England. It is named after the River Leam, which flows through the town. The town contains especially fine ensembles of Regency architecture, particularly in parts of the Parade, Clarendon Square and Lansdowne Circus. Grace May Cassidy (born 24 March 1993) is an English actress. She began her career as a child actress in the BBC One drama '' The Chase'' (2006–2007), the CBBC series ''Grange Hill'' (2007–2008), and the ITV soap opera ''Emmerdale'' (2009–2012). Early life and education Cassidy was born in Salford. She is the older sister of actress Raffey Cassidy, who portrayed Athena in ''Tomorrowland''. Cassidy joined the National Youth Theatre. Theatre Royal Stratford East
The Theatre Royal Stratford East is a 460 seat Victorian producing theatre in Stratford in the London Borough of Newham. Since 1953, it has been the home of the Theatre Workshop company, famously associated with director Joan Littlewood, whose statue is outside the theatre (see image at left). History The theatre was designed by architect James George Buckle, and commissioned by Charles Dillon, né Silver, adoptive son of the actor-manager Charles Dillon (died 1881) in 1884.
