Asche Zu Asche
''Asche zu Asche'' (; "Ashes to Ashes") is a song by German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein. It was released in January 2001, as the fourth single from their album ''Herzeleid''. The single is also included as a bonus disc in the re-released "Australian Tour Edition" of ''Sehnsucht''. This release contains the 1995 album version of the song, as well as five live tracks taken from ''Live aus Berlin''. It was released exclusively in Australia, as a promotion for the Big Day Out festival (2001), for which Rammstein were a headlining act. Live performances Since its release, "Asche zu Asche" has been a staple in Rammstein's live shows. It was the only Rammstein song to have been played in every one of the band's tours until 2013. During performances, the microphone stands would be set on fire near the end of the song and clouds of smoke would cover the stage. The song was played at almost every concert from 1995 to 2002. Rammstein (, "ramming stone") is a German Neue Deutsche Härte band formed in Berlin in 1994. The band's lineup—consisting of lead vocalist Till Lindemann, lead guitarist Richard Kruspe, rhythm guitarist Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider, and keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz—has remained unchanged throughout their history, along with their approach to songwriting, which consists of Lindemann writing and singing the lyrics over instrumental pieces the rest of the band has completed beforehand. Prior to their formation, some members were associated with the punk rock acts Feeling B and First Arsch. ''Live aus Berlin'' (, "Live from Berlin") is a recording of a concert by the German Neue Deutsche Härte band Rammstein, performed in 1998 and released a year later. It has been released in several formats: * CD (15 tracks) * 2 CD Limited Edition (18 tracks + multimedia content) * Censored VHS/DVD (Without ''Bück dich'') * Uncensored VHS (With ''Bück dich'') * Uncensored DVD, released in 2020 The performance of "Bück dich" ("Bend down", "Bend over") is controversial. The mimed portrayal of anal sex using a water-squirting dildo led to the video being given an 18 certificate in Europe. "Engel" (German for "Angel" or "Angels") is a song by German industrial metal band Rammstein. It was released in April 1997 as the first single from their second album, ''Sehnsucht''. The female part of song's chorus is sung by Christiane "Bobo" Hebold of the German pop band Bobo in White Wooden Houses. An English version of "Engel" can be found on US special editions of ''Sehnsucht''. According to an interview, keyboardist Christian Lorenz came up with the main riff for this song on a synthesizer along with a whistle melody. Made in Germany 1995–2011 was a concert tour by German band Rammstein in support of the compilation album of the same name. The tour consists of two European legs in late 2011 and early 2012, one North American leg in mid-2012, and a final European leg in mid-2013 which mostly consisted of festivals and other open air shows. This tour marked the first time the band played in Ireland. Set lists Note: "Sehnsucht" was not performed in Zagreb, on November 8, 2011.
