(born October 11, 1955) is a Japanese pop singer, and actress. Her real name is Kayoko Fujii. Biography Megumi Asaoka debuted into showbusiness at age three, with performances varying from stage productions to television commercials. While she was attending Junior High School, Asaoka modeled for the weekly Japanese magazine ''Seventeen''. While working as a model, she was offered a recording contract. After refusing initially, citing she did not enjoy singing and living a public life, she later accepted in hopes of being able to financially support her family. Asaoka made her musical debut in June, 1972, with the single '. The single sold over 400,000 copies and reached the No. 3 position on the Oricon charts. Glass Wings
is a one-shot manga anthology by Misuzu Asaoka. Kadokawa Shoten originally published it in Japan on December 17, 2003 under the Asuka Comics label. Tokyopop released it in the United States on February 7, 2006. In 2005, they also released it in Germany under the title ''Der Prinz mit den gläsernen Schwingen'' (The Prince with Wings of Glass). Asaoka noted that she prefers her character designs to look both attractive and intelligent, and that she put more effort into developing some characters' bodies than their faces . Ruriko Asaoka
, born 2 July 1940 in Xinjing, Manchukuo (now Changchun, Jilin, China), is a Japanese actress. She won the Medal with Purple Ribbon (2002) and Order of the Rising Sun, 4th Class, Gold Rays with Rosette (2011). She married actor Koji Ishizaka in 1971 after appearing in the same TV drama. They separated in an amicable divorce in 2000 after a nearly 30-year marriage due to Ishizaka’s desire to care for his aging mother. Asaoka made her acting debut in 1955 and has appeared in many Films and TV shows including Goyokin, Machibuse and the television series Zatoichi with Shintaro Katsu. In recent years, she has mainly worked on stage in addition to the occasional television appearance. Tomoyasu Asaoka
was a Japanese professional footballer who played as a midfielder for Nippon Kokan, Yomiuri and the Japan national team. Club career Asaoka was born in Tokyo on 6 April 1962. After graduating from the University of Tsukuba, he joined Nippon Kokan in 1985. Starting in 1985, the club won second place for three years in a row. He was also selected Best Eleven 1985–86. He moved to Yomiuri in 1988. The club won the league championship in 1990–91. He retired in 1991. Yukiji Asaoka
was a Japanese singer and an actress from Chūō, Tokyo. She was the daughter of a famous Japanese painter of shin hanga style prints, Shinsui Itō, and her second husband was actor Masahiko Tsugawa. Asaoka was in the Takarazuka Revue from 1952 to 1955. She was a cast member (musumeyaku), belonging to the Moon Troupe (Tsuki). She was famous for her roles in Japanese television series and appeared starring opposite Shintaro Katsu in both a film from the ''Zatoichi'' series and in the first film of the ''Hanzo the Razor'' trilogy. She was, however, mostly famous for her singing. She was also a voice actor in the 1999 anime film ''My Neighbors the Yamadas'' directed by Isao Takahata. She died of Alzheimer's disease.
