Asalouyeh Airport
Asalouyeh Airport is located near Asalouyeh, Bushehr Province, Iran. Owned by IRIAF, it was open to civil aviation at the time when economic activity around the PSEEZ necessitated establishment of an air link for the region. The airport was operational until the new Persian Gulf Airport opened to traffic in July 2006, replacing Asalouyeh Airport. Asalouyeh
Asalouyeh ( fa, عسلويه, also Romanized as 'Asalūyeh; also known as Asalu, and sometimes prefixed by bandar, meaning port) is a city and capital of Asaluyeh County, in Bushehr Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 4,746, in 875 families. Alternate spellings include: Assalouyeh, Asalouyeh, Asalouyeh, Asaluyeh, Asaloyeh, Asalooyeh, Asaluye, Assaluyeh, Asalu. Persian Gulf Airport ( fa, فرودگاه خلیج فارس) is an airport in Assaluyeh, Iran. The airport has been operating since 2005 and, though small, enjoys one of the most modern passenger terminal buildings recently built in the region. There are frequent scheduled and charter passenger flights every day operated by Mahan Air, Kish Air, Iran Aseman Airlines, Taban Air and Caspian Airlines to cities across Iran, including Tehran, Mashhad, Isfahan, Shiraz, Tabriz, Ahwaz, Rasht, Kish Island and Kermanshah, with weekly international flights to Dubai, operated by Mahan Air. Development Phase A development phase for the airport has been designed and approved by officials.
