''Asad'' is a 2012 South African-American short film directed by Bryan Buckley. The film was nominated for the 2012 Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film The Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film is an award presented at the annual Academy Awards ceremony. Bryan Buckley
Bryan Buckley is an American filmmaker, screenwriter, producer, and two-time Academy Award nominated director. His successful career has led to him being dubbed the "King of the Super Bowl". Buckley's directorial debut came with a series of commercials he created for NHL on ESPN, before creating the "This is '' SportsCenter''" campaign for ESPN in 1999. The work became a part of the ESPN brand, and launched Buckley into the commercial world. Buckley would go on to direct 64 Super Bowl commercials. He has directed two feature films and four short films. Of his four shorts, ''Krug'' (2004) played at Sundance, ''Wake Up Caller'' (2004) played at the Tribeca Film Festival, while ''ASAD'' (2013) and ''SARIA'' (2019) have been nominated for Best Live Action Short Film at the Academy Awards. Telluride Film Festival
The Telluride Film Festival (TFF) is a film festival held annually in Telluride, Colorado during Labor Day weekend (the first Monday in September). The 49th edition took place on September 2 -6, 2022. History First held on 30 August 1974, the festival, held in the Sheridan Opera House, was started by the Telluride Council for the Arts and Humanities, Bill and Stella Pence, Tom Luddy, and James Card of Eastman-Kodak Film Preserve and Scott Brown. Montreal World Film Festival
The Montreal World Film Festival (WFF; french: le Festival des Films du Monde) was one of Canada's oldest international film festivals and the only competitive film festival in North America accredited by the FIAPF (although the Toronto International Film Festival is North America's only accredited non-competitive festival). Palm Springs International Film Festival (sometimes stylized shortly as PSIFF) is a film festival held in Palm Springs, California. Seattle International Film Festival
The Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF), held annually in Seattle, Washington since 1976, is among the top film festivals in North America.
