''As Long As You Want This'' is the first studio album by the Dutch rock band Kane, released in 2000. Production In 1999, Kane released the single "Where Do I Go Now", before recording the album. The song became a minor hit thanks to the video channel TMF and the radion station 3FM. In October 1999, the band recorded ''As Long As You Want This'' at the Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum and Studio Arnold Mühren in Volendam. The record was produced by Haro Slok and Henk Jan Smits, together with Kane vocalist Dinand Woesthoff. Kane (Dutch Band)
Kane was a Dutch rock band. In its final stage, the group consisted of the two original members, Dinand Woesthoff (lead vocals) and Dennis van Leeuwen (guitar). The band was inspired by U2, Pearl Jam, Queen, and Nirvana. History Kane got its start in The Hague in 1998, when Dinand and Dennis met each other in a beach cafe where they were both working at the time. Both had a passion for music and it did not take long before they were discovered in a small cafe where they performed for a very small audience. Their breakthrough came in the summer of 1999 with the song "Where Do I Go Now". Their record ''As Long as You Want This'' from 1999 was on the album hit list for 1.5 years and achieved double platinum sales. Wisseloord Studios
The Wisseloord Studio is a recording studio in Hilversum, Netherlands. It was officially opened on 19 January 1978 by Prince Claus of the Netherlands, Prince Claus. The studios were founded by electronics company Philips, to enable their PolyGram artists to record in a professional environment. Initially there were three studios, nowadays there are five. In the early days the studios were mainly used by Dutch artists. Later, international musicians such as Elton John, Scorpions (band), Scorpions, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, The Police, Tina Turner, Electric Light Orchestra, and U2 have used the facilities. A major refit of the studios began in 2010. As part of this, major components have been updated including the inclusion of new mixing consoles from Automated Processes, Inc. The Music Factory
The Music Factory (TMF) was an originally Dutch brand of television and radio channels operated focusing on pop music. It was similar to the American MTV which took over TMF in 2001. TMF operated channels in the Netherlands (TMF Nederland) as well as in the UK with TMF UK and Australia with (TMF Australia). The brand is owned by MTV Networks International (part of the Viacom conglomerate). Volendam
Volendam () is a fishing town in the municipality of Edam-Volendam, province of North Holland, Netherlands. As of 1 January 2021, it has a population of 22,715. It is twinned with Coventry, England. History Originally, Volendam was the location of the harbour of the nearby Edam, which was situated at the mouth of the IJ bay. The list has passed through various name changes and has expanded from a Top 10 to a Top 100. Names Album chart by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40'' From 1969 to 1999, an alternative weekly album chart was published by offshore radio station Radio Veronica (1969-1974) and the '' Stichting Nederlandse Top 40'' (1974-1999). This chart varied in length from a top 20 (1969-1971 and from 1972 to 1974) to a top 50 (1971-1972 and 1974–1985), a top 75 (1985-1991) and a top 100 (1991-1999).
