Arubans in the Netherlands consist of migrants from Aruba to the Netherlands and their descendants. Aruba was part of the former Netherlands Antilles until 1986 when the country seceded remaining a constituent country of Kingdom of the Netherlands. As of 2014, figures from Statistics Netherlands showed 142,953 people of Dutch Antillean origin in the Netherlands, of which 23,800 are Aruban. The largest Aruban communities in the Netherlands can be found in Amsterdam, Almere, Haarlem, The Hague, Rotterdam, Alkmaar and Amersfoort. Alain Clark (born 4 June 1979) is a Dutch musician and producer. Biography Alain Clark (born 4 June 1979), is a Dutch singer, songwriter, and record producer. Alain's father is Dane Clark, a Dutch soul singer who had his own successful band Dane and the Dukes of Soul. James Sharpe (Dutch Politician)
James Emanuel Johan Willem Sharpe (born 9 November 1962 in Eindhoven) is a Dutch former politician, businessman and athlete of Aruban descent. As a member of the Party for Freedom (Partij voor de Vrijheid) he was an MP from 17 June till 19 November 2010. He focused on matters of sports, infrastructure and big projects, and was succeeded by Ino van den Besselaar. He resigned his seat in the Dutch parliament after it came out that he was in charge of the Hungarian telecom company Digitania when it received a record fine in 2008 for misleading customers. Sharpe studied financial economics at Tilburg University, participated in hurdling competitions, among others for the Netherlands Antilles at the 1992 Summer Olympics, and performed several management jobs in telecommunications. Edsilia Francisca Rombley (born 13 February 1978) is a Dutch singer and television presenter. She began her career in 1995, as a member of the Dutch girl group Dignity. Rombley began her solo career in 1996, after winning the Dutch talent show ''Soundmixshow'', later winning the ''European Soundmix Show'' as well the following year. Pete Philly & Perquisite was a hip hop duo from Amsterdam, Netherlands consisting of Pedro Philip Monzón (born May 28, 1980 in Aruba) as the MC/vocalist and Pieter "Perquisite" Perquin (born 1982 in Amsterdam) as the cellist, producer and composer of all the music. Hedwiges Eduard Martinus Maduro (born 13 February 1985) is a Dutch professional football coach and former player who is the assistant coach of Eerste Divisie club Almere City. Dwayne Kemp (born 24 February 1988 in Rotterdam) is a Dutch baseball player for the Curaçao Neptunus of the Honkbal Hoofdklasse. Joseph Gregory Percy Irausquin (26 June 1969 – 14 August 2008) was an Aruban-born Netherlands, Dutch fashion designer and couturier based in Amsterdam. He was described by the Dutch media as "one of the most talented young designers in the Netherlands." Naomi Halman (born 10 January 1986) is a Dutch basketball player who plays for Triple Threat of the Women's Basketball League (WBL). During her career, she also played for the Netherlands national team, playing in 44 international games. Greg Halman
Gregory Anthony Halman (August 26, 1987 – November 21, 2011) was a Dutch professional baseball outfielder. He played with the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB) during the and seasons.
