Artyom Simonyan (footballer)
Artyom Vruyrovich Simonyan ( hy, Արտյոմ Սիմոնյան; russian: Артём Вруйрович Симонян; born 20 February 1995) is an Armenian footballer who plays as a right winger for SKA-Khabarovsk. Career Club On 9 August 2017, Simonyan signed for FC Alashkert. On 2 July 2020, FC Pyunik announced that Simonyan had left the club after his contract had expired. On 17 January 2021, Tom Tomsk announced the signing of Simonyan on a contract until the end of the 2020–21 season. On 14 July 2022, Simonyan signed a one-year contract with Russian Premier League club Torpedo Moscow. Simonyan's contract with Torpedo was terminated by mutual consent in late 2022. On 15 February 2023, Simonyan signed for SKA-Khabarovsk on an 18-month contract. The Armenian Premier League ( hy, VBET Հայաստանի Պրեմիեր Լիգա, known as the VBET Armenian Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the top association football, football competition in Armenia. From 1936 to 1991, the competition was held as a regional tournament within the USSR. After independence, the Football Federation of Armenia has been the unit in charge. 2017–18 FC Alashkert Season
The 2017–18 season was Alashkert's sixth season in the Armenian Premier League and eleventh overall. Alashkert were defending Premier League champions, having won the title the previous season. Domestically, Alashkert finished the season as Champions for the third season in a row, six-points ahead of second placed Banants, whilst they were beaten in the final of the Armenian Cup by Gandzasar Kapan on penalties. The 2016–17 Swiss Challenge League (known for sponsorship reasons as the Brack.ch Challenge League) was the 14th season of the Swiss Challenge League, the second tier in the Swiss football pyramid. It began on 23 July 2016 and ended on 3 June 2017. The Promotion League, named the YAPEAL Promotion League for sponsorship reasons, is the third tier of the Swiss football league system. Eighteen clubs compete in the league, playing each other twice over the course of the season. The champions are promoted to the second tier, the Challenge League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the 1. Liga. The league forms the semi-professional bridge to amateur football.
