Arturo Escobar Y Vega
Arturo Escobar y Vega (born 23 April 1970) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the Ecologist Green Party of Mexico (PVEM). Escobar LX Legislature of the Mexican Congress, currently serves in the Chamber of Deputies (Mexico), lower house of the Congress of Mexico, Mexican Congress. Escobar has been an active member and leader of the Ecologist Green Party of Mexico, PVEM who has served as deputy (''asambleísta'') in the Legislative Assembly of the Federal District. In 2006, he secured a seat in the Senate via the proportional representation. In November 25, 2015 the Attorney General of Mexico issued an order of arrest to Escobar due suspected electoral crimes. Ecologist Green Party Of Mexico
The Ecological Green Party of Mexico ( es, Partido Verde Ecologista de México, , PVEM or PVE) is a green-conservative political party in Mexico. In the 2012 legislative elections, the party took 34 seats in the Chamber of Deputies (out of 500) and nine seats in the Senate (out of 128). During the 2012 Presidential election, PVEM supported Enrique Peña Nieto (EPN), the candidate from the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), who was elected. Proportional Representation
Proportional representation (PR) refers to a type of electoral system under which subgroups of an electorate are reflected proportionately in the elected body. The concept applies mainly to geographical (e.g. states, regions) and political divisions (political parties) of the electorate. The essence of such systems is that all votes cast - or almost all votes cast - contribute to the result and are actually used to help elect someone—not just a plurality, or a bare majority—and that the system produces mixed, balanced representation reflecting how votes are cast.
