Arturo Carrera (born 27 March 1948) is an Argentine poet. Biography Arturo Carrera was born on 27 March 1948 in Coronel Pringles, Buenos Aires Province. In 1966, he moved to Buenos Aires where he worked on various literary projects with the writer César Aira, also from Coronel Pringles, with whom he founded the literary magazine ''El Cielo''. During the 1980s he joined the editorial team of the magazine ''XUL''. Coronel Pringles
Coronel Pringles () is a city in the south of the Buenos Aires Province in Argentina, situated near the mountains of Pillahuincó. It is the government seat of the Coronel Pringles Partido. In 1882, the provincial government of Buenos Aires Province, Buenos Aires created the ''Partidos of Buenos Aires, partido'' ("civil parish") of Coronel Pringles Partido, Coronel Pringles by dividing the territory of Tres Arroyos into the partidos of Coronel Suárez Partido, Coronel Suárez, Tres Arroyos Partido, Tres Arroyos and Coronel Pringles. Buenos Aires Province
Buenos Aires (), officially the Buenos Aires Province (''Provincia de Buenos Aires'' ), is the largest and most populous Argentine province. It takes its name from the city of Buenos Aires, the capital of the country, which used to be part of the province and the province's capital until it was federalized in 1880. César Aira ( Argentine Spanish: ; born 23 February 1949 in Coronel Pringles, Buenos Aires Province) is an Argentinian writer and translator, and an exponent of contemporary Argentinian literature. Aira has published over a hundred short books of stories, novels and essays. In fact, at least since 1993 a hallmark of his work is a truly frenetic level of writing and publication—two to five novella-length books each year. Alfredo Prior (born 1952 in Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a painter, writer, performer and musician. His career began at the age of 18 with his first solo exhibition in Buenos Aires, where he still lives and works. Influences and early work Prior cites Argentine artist Juan Del Prete as one of his predecessors. He was also strongly influenced by themes from his university studies in oriental arts and literature. Very early in his life, Prior bet on romantic and hallucinogen painting. Whilst Jorge Romero Brest, the influential Buenos Aires art critic of the sixties and seventies, had declared the death of painting, Prior devoted eight years of work to mastering the medium.
