Artur Sobiech
Artur Sobiech (; born 12 June 1990) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Lech Poznań. Club career Sobiech was born in Ruda Śląska. After spending four years at Ruch Chorzów, where he started his professional career, Sobiech joined Polonia Warsaw in July 2010. Polonia paid €1 million for him. He was named Ekstraklasa discovery of the year. On 30 June 2011, Sobiech transferred to Bundesliga side Hannover 96, signing a contract until June 2014. In May 2013, the club announced that he had extended his contract until 30 June 2017. On 9 August 2018, Sobiech joined Lechia Gdańsk on a three-year contract. In his first season at Lechia Sobiech found himself to be the second choice forward behind Flávio Paixão. Ireneusz Jeleń (; born 9 April 1981) is a retired Polish footballer who played as a right-winger or striker for the Poland national football team. Club career Jeleń was born in Cieszyn. From 2002 to 2006 he played for Wisła Płock in the Ekstraklasa. In four seasons he scored 45 goals in 100 appearances in the Polish top league. On 28 June 2006, Jeleń signed for Auxerre in Ligue 1. The Polish Super Cup (, ) is an annually held match between the champions of the Ekstraklasa and the Polish Cup winners or, if the Ekstraklasa champions also win the Polish Cup, the Cup's runners-up. As of 2021, the Polish Super Cup has been played 31 times. The most successful club is Lech Poznań, who won 6 times. The most common participant are Legia Warsaw, as they played fourteen final games and have lost their eight following finals since 2012. Unlike in Polish Cup, there is no extra time played in the competition, therefore in case of a draw after regular time match goes straight into a penalty shoot-out. 2019–20 Lechia Gdańsk Season
The 2019–20 Lechia Gdańsk season was the club's 76th season of existence, and their 12th continuous in the top flight of Polish football. The season covered the period from 1 July 2019 to 31 July 2020. Jagiellonia Białystok () is a Polish football club based in Białystok that plays in the Ekstraklasa, the top level of Polish football. The 2018–19 Polish Cup was the sixty-fifth season of the annual Polish football knockout tournament. It began on 7 August 2018 with the first matches of the preliminary round and ended on 2 May 2019 with the final at PGE Narodowy. The Polish Cup in football ( pl, Puchar Polski w piłce nożnej ) is an elimination tournament for Polish football clubs, held continuously from 1950, and is the second most important national title in Polish football after the Ekstraklasa title. Due to mass participation of teams, the tournament is often called ''The Cup of the Thousand Teams'' ( pl, Puchar Tysiąca Drużyn ). Participation is open to any club registered with the Polish FA, regardless of whether it competes in any league in the national pyramid. Reserve and veteran teams are also eligible, with reserve teams reaching the final on two occasions (and winning it once).
