Arts Party
The Arts Party is an Australian political party inspired by the importance of the arts and creative action. The party was voluntarily deregistered with the Australian Electoral Commission on 25 June 2019, but remains registered for local elections with the New South Wales Electoral Commission. History The Australian party was founded in October 2013 by two Sydney-based artists, PJ Collins and Nicholas Gledhill, and registered by the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) in August 2014. Money was raised for the party's registration through a crowd-funding campaign. Two Arts Party members stood as independent candidates at the 2015 Queensland state election, as the party had not been registered in time to contest the election. Later in the year, the party's leader, PJ Collins, stood as an ungrouped Legislative Council candidate at the 2015 New South Wales state election. Kingsford is a suburb in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Kingsford is located 7 kilometres south-east of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Randwick. Kingsford is part of the Eastern Suburbs region. 2015 New South Wales State Election
A general election for the 56th Parliament of New South Wales (NSW) was held on Saturday 28 March 2015. Members were elected to all 93 seats in the Legislative Assembly using optional preferential voting. Members were also elected to 21 of the 42 seats in the Legislative Council using optional preferential proportional representation voting. The election was conducted by the New South Wales Electoral Commission. The one-term incumbent Liberal/National Coalition Government led by Premier Mike Baird and Deputy Premier Troy Grant was re-elected to a second four-year term with a slightly reduced majority in the Legislative Assembly, where government is formed. The main Opposition Labor Party under Luke Foley won an increased share of the vote in most districts, though the party lost ground in some key races, including Foley's seat of Auburn. 2021 New South Wales Local Elections
The 2021 New South Wales local elections were held on 4 December 2021 to elect the councils of 121 of the 128 local government areas (LGAs) in New South Wales. Several councils also held mayoral elections and/or referendums. Previous referendums took three net councillors in three LGAS: Cabonne, Coonamble and Dungog. The Liberal Party did not run in Kiama, North Sydney or Shoalhaven, however a number of party members chose to contest as independents. Background Following the 2012 elections, the ''Local Government (Areas) Act 1948'' was introduced, leading to the amalgamations and mergers of a number of councils. History The division was created in 1949 and named after Andrew Petrie (1798–1872), a noted civil engineer, pioneer, and explorer, and the first free settler in Brisbane (1837). It is the only non-contiguous federal electoral division in Australia, with the two parts of the division separated by the Division of Clark, based around central Hobart.
