''Artoriopsis expolita'' is a common spider in open, moderately moist environments and is often found near creeks and rivers, in foredune A foredune is a dune ridge that runs parallel to the shore of an ocean, lake, bay, or estuary. Wolf spiders are members of the family Lycosidae (). They are robust and agile hunters with excellent eyesight. They live mostly in solitude, hunt alone, and do not spin webs.
