National Gymnastics Arena
The National Gymnastics Arena is an indoor arena in Baku, Azerbaijan. The venue is mainly used for gymnastics. Overview National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan was designed by Broadway Malyan. PASHA Construction (PASHA Holding) appointed Broadway Malyan to develop the arena from start to finish after winning a competition to design the scheme in 2011. The construction of the NGA started in August 2009, and was inaugurated in April 2014. The arena has capacity of 5,000–9,000 seats depending on the event conducting. Airdome The NGA has an additional training hall - Airdome, which was constructed in the south part of the arena on an area of 6000 m². The dome is kept inflated by ventilators creating internal pressure. Anastasiia Maksymivna Motak ( uk, Анастасія Максимівна Мотак, born 12 November 2004) is a Ukrainian artistic gymnast. She is the 2020 Ukrainian National Champion and was a member of the gold medal winning team at the 2020 European Championships. Early life Motak was born in Zhytomyr, Zhytomyr Oblast, Ukraine on 12 November 2004. She began gymnastics in 2008 in Kharkiv. Gymnastics career Junior 2019 Motak competed at the Ukrainian National Championships where she placed third amongst junior athletes. In April she competed at the Stella Zakharova Cup where her team placed fifth. Individually she placed 10th in the all-around but won silver on vault. Later that month Motak competed at the European Games Test Event where she placed first in the all-around and on vault and fourth on balance beam and floor exercise. Annie Young (gymnast)
Annie Young (died January 22, 2018, age 75) was an American politician and member of the Green Party of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was an elected at-large member of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. Young ran for Minnesota State Auditor in the 2010 Minnesota State Auditor election, 2010 election. On November 8, 2005, Young, Tom Nordyke, and Mary Merrill Anderson were elected as at-large commissioners of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. She was endorsed by the Green Party of Minnesota. Young ran for re-election in the 2009 Minneapolis municipal election. She was one of two elected Green Party members in the Minneapolis city government; the other is city council member Cam Gordon. Young, who had been suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, died on January 22, 2018. Ondine Achampong (born 10 February 2004) is a British artistic gymnast who was part of the women's team that won silver at the 2022 World Championships. She won a gold medal with the English team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and individually, Achampong won silver medals in the all-around and on floor exercise. She is the 2022 European team and balance beam silver medalist. She is the 2021 British all-around champion and the 2022 British all-around silver medalist. As a junior, Achampong is the 2019 European Youth Olympic Festival champion on the balance beam and silver medallist in the all-around. She is also the 2019 British junior all-around champion.
