Article One (band)
Article One was a Canadian Christian rock band from London, Ontario. Members were Nathan Piché (vocals, guitars, keyboards), his brother Matt Piché (violin, vocals), Dave De Smit (drums, vocals), Nolan Verner (bass guitar), Mark Laidman (bass guitar), Ian Koiter (bass guitar) and Jason Tinnel (bass guitar). Early Years Article One was founded in 2003 by Nathan Piché, Matt Piché, bassist Ian Koiter and drummer Dave De Smit. Nathan and Matt Piché were brought up in a musical household. The ''Weekend 22'' (abbreviated as ''W22'') is a Christian music countdown. It is a syndicated show that is broadcast nationwide in the United States and heard in over 150 cities across the country. The show is produced and syndicated worldwide by Amped Creative. Christian Care Ministry's Medi-Share is the main sponsor for the show. The countdown is based on the play lists found on Christian CHR radio stations across the U.S. It was based on the R&R charts until the magazine was folded into Billboard magazine in 2009. Jeremy "JGonzo" Gonzalez started out as the host in June 2002. Josh Ashton took over as host in August 2008. SHOUTfest (also known as ShoutFest) is an annual Christian music festival that features popular Contemporary Christian music acts. Beginning in 2002, SHOUTfest was coordinated by Jeff Roberts Booking Agency, a Christian rock booking agency based in Nashville, Tennessee. The one-day festival traveled around the eastern United States, and typically included games and other activities. SHOUTfest featured bands such as Skillet, Jars of Clay, Rock n Roll Worship Circus, Jeff Deyo, Superchick, Pillar, Jump5, Newsong, Tait, Kevin Max, Natalie Grant, Rebecca St. James, Sonic Flood, Seventh Day Slumber and Flatfoot 56. Superchick, originally known as Superchic '', was an American Christian alternative pop/rock band. Their music incorporated various styles such as pop, punk, rock, rap, and R&B. Their sound has been compared to mainstream artists like No Doubt and Avril Lavigne only with a heavier sound. ''Rock What You Got'' is the fifth album from the band Superchick. It was released on June 24, 2008. The album debuted at No. 65 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 album chart, selling nearly 10,000 copies its first week. The band has described the album as more progressive, in-your-face sound and has dubbed it "rock-o-tronic". In May 2008, Inpop released three radio singles from the album. "Hold" was played on Christian contemporary hit radio stations, "Crawl" went to adult contemporary stations, and "Hey, Hey" to Christian rock stations. In late May, Inpop Records released a free download of the track "Alive" for further promotion of the album. The album also features an all-instrumental song ("Guitar Hero") and a remix of their biggest hit "Stand in the Rain". Starfield is a Canadian Christian music group from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The group has songs and albums that have charted in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. They have won multiple GMA Canada Covenant Awards (Canada's Dove Awards), received four Juno nominations, five Vibes, and the Prairie Music Award for best Christian album.
