Article 370 (film)
''Article 370'' is a 2024 Indian Hindi-language political action thriller film directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, who co-wrote the film with Aditya Dhar, Arjun Dhawan, and Monal Thaakar. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar, the film stars Yami Gautam, Priyamani, Skand Thakur, Ashwini Kaul, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Arun Govil, and Kiran Karmarkar in pivotal roles. The film was released worldwide on 23 February 2024. The critics praised the performance of Gautam and the storyline, but criticised the film for its distortion of facts and promotion of the agenda of the ruling government of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Premise The film is set against the backdrop of the revocation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, and the autonomy granted under Article 370 of the Indian Constitution to Jammu and Kashmir—a region administered by India. Aditya Dhar
Aditya Dhar (born 12 March 1983) is an Indian filmmaker and lyricist, best known for directing and writing military action film '' Uri: The Surgical Strike'' (2019). Early life and career Dhar was born on 12 March 1983 in New Delhi, India. He married Yami Gautam on 4 June 2021. Dhar is a Kashmiri Pandit. In 2019, Dhar made his directorial debut with '' Uri: The Surgical Strike'', an action film based on the 2016 Uri attack, starring Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles and produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the RSVP Movies banner. Filmed in Serbia, the film is fictionally dramatised account of the true events of the retaliation to the 2016 Uri attack. ''Uri'' earned in India, and over worldwide, making it the tenth highest-grossing Indian film domestically.
