Arthur White (actor)
Arthur B. White (born 1933) is an English stage and screen actor, best known for his occasional role as the collator (police archivist) Ernie Trigg in the crime drama ''A Touch of Frost'', alongside his real-life younger brother David Jason. His parents were Arthur R White and Welsh-born Olwen Jones. He also appeared briefly along with his brother in two episodes of '' The Darling Buds of May''. In 1978, White appeared as part of an underworld gang, playing the role of Freddy in an episode of the 1970s British police drama ''The Professionals'', the episode entitled ''When the Heat Cools Off''. In 2007, White played Albert Fogarty in the '' Heartbeat'' episode ''"The Dreams That Make You Dream."'' In 2008, he worked with Jason again on the comic fantasy ''The Colour of Magic'', where he played a character called "Rerpf". Finchley
Finchley () is a large district of north London, England, in the London Borough of Barnet. Finchley is on high ground, north of Charing Cross. Nearby districts include: Golders Green, Muswell Hill, Friern Barnet, Whetstone, Mill Hill and Hendon. ''Crossroads'' (later known as ''Crossroads Motel'' and ''Crossroads King's Oak'') is a British television soap opera that ran on ITV (TV network), ITV over two periods – the original 1964 to 1988 run, followed by a short revival from 2001 to 2003. Set in a fictional motel (hotel in the revival) in the Midlands, ''Crossroads'' became a byword for cheap production values, particularly in the 1970s and early 1980s. ''Family Affairs'' is a British soap opera that aired on Channel 5. It debuted on 30 March 1997, the day of the launch of said channel and was the first programme broadcast on the channel. It was screened as five thirty-minute episodes per week, followed by an omnibus edition on Sundays. The series never achieved high ratings, so it went through a number of dramatic revamps involving wholesale cast turnover. The premise of the series was also refocused from a family in a quiet suburb just outside London, to a range of different people living on a bustling outer London street. ''Wycliffe'' is a British television series, based on W. J. Burley's novels about Detective Superintendent Charles Wycliffe. It was produced by HTV and broadcast on the ITV Network, following a pilot episode on 7 August 1993, between 24 July 1994 and 5 July 1998. The series was filmed in Cornwall, with a production office in Truro. Music for the series was composed by Nigel Hess, who was nominated for the Royal Television Society award for the best original television theme in 1997. Charles Wycliffe is played by Jack Shepherd, assisted by DI Doug Kersey (Jimmy Yuill) and DI Lucy Lane (Helen Masters). Each episode deals with a murder investigation.
