Arthur Neal (footballer)
Arthur Marshall Neal (20 December 1903 – 1982) was an English association football, footballer who played as an outside right in the Football League for Darlington F.C., Darlington. He was on the books of Rotherham County F.C., Rotherham County and Liverpool F.C., Liverpool without playing League football for either, and also played non-league football for Gainsborough Trinity F.C., Gainsborough Trinity, Anston Athletic F.C., Anston Athletic, Frickley Athletic F.C., Frickley Colliery, Denaby United F.C., Denaby United, Kettering Town F.C., Kettering Town and Folkestone F.C., Folkestone. Neal was born in 1903 in Rotherham, which was then in the West Riding of Yorkshire, and died there in 1982 at the age of 78. Rotherham () is a large minster and market town in South Yorkshire, England. The town takes its name from the River Rother which then merges with the River Don. The River Don then flows through the town centre. It is the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham.
