Arthur Littleford
Arthur George Littleford (1868–1934) was an English professional footballer who played in the Football League for Small Heath. Life and career Littleford was born in Wrockwardine, Shropshire, in 1868. He played local football before joining Small Heath in 1893. A regular full back in the reserves, he played rarely and not well for the Second Division team in the 1893–94 season, though always on the winning side. He made his debut in a 2–1 home win against Middlesbrough Ironopolis Middlesbrough Ironopolis Football Club was a football club based in Middlesbrough, England. Although it was only in existence for five years, the club won three Northern League titles, two cup competitions and once reached the FA Cup quarter-f ... on 23 December 1893. He later played for Berwick Rangers (Worcester). Littleford's death at the age of 66 was registered in Birmingham in the third quarter of 1934. Middlesbrough ( ) is a town on the southern bank of the River Tees in North Yorkshire, England. It is near the North York Moors national park. It is the namesake and main town of its local borough council area. Until the early 1800s, the area was rural farming land. By 1830, a new industrial town and port started to be developed, driven by the coal and later ironworks. Steel production and ship building began in the late 1800s, remaining associated with the town until post-industrial decline occurred in the late twentieth century. Trade (notably through ports) and digital enterprise sectors contemporarily contribute to the local economy, Teesside University and Middlesbrough College to local education.
