Arthur Dela Cruz
Arthur A. Dela Cruz Jr. (born May 9, 1992) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the NorthPort Batang Pier of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Early life and high-school career Dela Cruz started playing basketball when he was in 4th grade at St. Mary’s Academy in Bulacan. It was his father, Arturo dela Cruz Sr., known as Art Dela Cruz, himself a former PBA player, who first introduced him to the sport. In high school, he played as power forward of the San Beda Red Cubs. College career Dela Cruz first attended college at the Ateneo de Manila University for one year. He suited up for the Blue Eagles as a rookie in 2010 and played a key role in their campaign, when the Blue Eagles won the title that year. David Paul M. Marcelo (born February 22, 1989) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the TNT Tropang Giga of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Marcelo was drafted by B-Meg in the 2012 PBA draft as the 12th overall pick. College career Marcelo studied and played for the San Beda Red Lions from 2007 from 2011 together graduated with Garvo Lanete and Mar Villahermosa. The Red Lions won 4 out of 5 championships with them. He was well known for his inside scoring and rebounding. Christopher Allan Bansil Ellis (born December 5, 1988) is a Filipino-American professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was selected 6th overall in the 2012 PBA draft by Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. He is of Filipino descent. Ellis won the 2013 PBA All-Star Weekend Slamdunk Competition during his rookie season in Digos, Davao del Sur. Ellis was traded to the Blackwater Elite in August 2017 along with Dave Marcelo, in exchange for Art dela Cruz and Raymond Aguilar. 2015 PBA Draft
The 2015 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) rookie draft was an event which allows teams to draft players from the amateur ranks. The event was held at the Midtown Atrium, Robinsons Place Manila on August 23, 2015. From this draft on, the league abandoned its lottery system after the controversies that surrounded the previous year's draft. The Ateneo Blue Eagles are the collegiate varsity teams of the Ateneo de Manila University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the premiere collegiate league in the Philippines.
