Arthur J. “Doc” Corvese (born January 14, 1956) is an American politician and a Democratic Party (United States), Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives representing District 55 since January 2003. Corvese served consecutively from January 1999 until January 2003 in the District 71 seat. Education Corvese earned his Bachelor of Science, BS from Providence College and his Optometry, OD from the New England College of Optometry. The State of Rhode Island General Assembly is the state legislature (United States), state legislature of the U.S. state of Rhode Island. A bicameral body, it is composed of the lower house, lower Rhode Island House of Representatives with 75 representatives, and the upper house, upper Rhode Island Senate with 38 senators. Members are elected in the general election immediately preceding the beginning of the term or in special elections called to fill vacancies. There are no term limits for either chamber.
