Arthur Berry (footballer)
Arthur Berry (3 January 1888 – 15 March 1953) was an English amateur footballer who competed in the 1908 and 1912 Summer Olympics. Family Arthur Berry's fatheEdwin 'Ted' Berry(1858-1925), a solicitor by trade, was a founder member of St. Domingo's FC in 1878. A year later the church team became Everton F.C. as they began to attract players from outwith the congregation. Ted Berry played as an outside-right for Everton for three seasons prior to the formation of the Football League in 1888. He later served as chairman and director of Liverpool F.C. from 1904-1909, overseeing the club's promotion back to the top flight and second League Championship title in successive seasons, 1904/05 and 1905/06. Wadham College, Oxford
Wadham College () is one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. It is located in the centre of Oxford, at the intersection of Broad Street and Parks Road. Wadham College was founded in 1610 by Dorothy Wadham, according to the will of her late husband Nicholas Wadham, a member of an ancient Devon and Somerset family. Park Royal Greyhound Stadium was a greyhound racing stadium in London used from 1931 until 1969. It is not to be confused with the Park Royal Ground built in 1907 by the Great Western Railway and used by Queens Park Rangers F.C. from 1907 to 1915. Origins The Royal Agricultural Society of England built showgrounds in 1903 intended to be used every year for their annual show. The Great Britain men's Olympic football team is the men's football team that represents the United Kingdom at the Summer Olympic Games (where it competes as Great Britain, currently branded Team GB). The Sweden national football team ( sv, svenska fotbollslandslaget) represents Sweden in men's international football and it is controlled by the Swedish Football Association, the governing body of football in Sweden. The England national amateur football team was the amateur representative team for England at football. It was formed in 1901, due to the growth of the professional game which meant that amateur players could no longer easily find places in the main England national team. It was the most successful team in the British Amateur Championship, winning on 16 occasions (5 joint). The England amateur team was disbanded by The Football Association in 1974. Oxford City
Oxford City Football Club is a semi-professional English association football club based in Marston, Oxford. They currently compete in the National League South, the sixth tier of English football, and play their home matches at Marsh Lane. History The club played their first recorded match on 15 March 1884 at Thame Grammar School, losing 4–2.
