Art Binkowski
Artur "Art" Binkowski (; born February 19, 1975) is a Polish-born Canadian heavyweight boxer who competed for his adoptive country Canada at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Background Binkowski came to Canada from Poland at the age of 13. He studied psychology at the University of Waterloo. Amateur career Binkowski was Ontario amateur heavyweight champion for 6 years. He took part in the Olympics 2000 at superheavyweight. There he was defeated in the quarterfinals by Uzbekistan's Rustam Saidov. Professional career Nicknamed "The Polish Warrior", the resident of Mississauga, Ontario, made his debut as a professional on November 23, 2001, in Southfield, Michigan, against Michael Moncrief of the United States. Super heavyweight is a weight class in combat sports and competitive bodybuilding. Boxing In amateur boxing, the super heavyweight division is a weight class division for fighters weighing in excess of 91 kilograms (200 pounds). Introduced for the 1984 Summer Olympics, the division is the amateur equivalent of the heavyweight division in professional boxing. The super heavyweight division was introduced because the general increase in the weight of top heavyweights throughout the 20th century meant that the heavyweight division became excessively broad, with the smaller men having little chance of competing effectively. Michael Moncrief
Michael J. Moncrief is an American retired judge and politician who served as the 43rd mayor of Fort Worth, Texas, from 2003 to 2011. Moncrief started his political career when elected to the Texas Legislature on Nov.3,1970, serving for two years. From 1974 to 1986, he served as judge of the Tarrant County Commissioners Court. John Charles "Corn" Griffin (July 24, 1911 – January 9, 1973) was an American heavyweight boxer whose career lasted from 1930 to 1936 and included the memorable June 14, 1934 TKO loss to James J.
