Arshaly District
Arshaly District ( kk, Аршалы ауданы, ) is a district of Akmola Region in northern Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the settlement of Arshaly. Population: Geography The district is located in the south-east of Akmola region, on the Kazakh melkosopochnik. The area of the territory is 5.8 thousand km2, which is 3.75% of the entire territory of the region (the 14th district in terms of territory size in the region). The length from west to east is 100 km, from south to north — 110 km. Borders: *with the districts of Akmola region: **in the north-west with the Tselinograd district; **in the northeast with the Yerementau district; *with districts of Karaganda region: **in the south with Osakarovsky district; **in the southwest with the Nurinsky district. Akmola Region
Akmola Region ( kz, Ақмола облысы, translit=Aqmola oblysy; russian: Акмолинская область, Akmolinskaya oblast) is a centrally located region of Kazakhstan. Its capital is Kokshetau. The national capital, Astana, is enclosed by the region, but is politically separate from Akmola Region. The region's population is 715,000; Kokshetau's is 157,000. Some gold and coal mining occur in the area. Geography The area of the region is 146,200 square kilometers. Akmola, along with Ulytau Region and Karaganda Region are Kazakhstan's only regions which don't touch the country's outer borders. The region borders North Kazakhstan Region in the north, Pavlodar Region in the east, Karagandy Region in the south, and Kostanay Region in the west. The Sileti river flows through the region. West Kazakhstan Region ( kk, Батыс Қазақстан облысы, translit=Batys Qazaqstan oblysy; russian: Западно-Казахстанская область, translit=Zapadno-Kazakhstanskaya oblast) is a region of Kazakhstan. The region has a population of 656,844 as of 2019. Its administrative centre is Oral (also known as Uralsk and Ural'sk), a city of about 200,000 inhabitants. The Region was created as ''West Kazakhstan Oblast'' in Kazakh SSR of Soviet Union.
